Introducing the tutoring team

Never before has there been such demand for high quality tuition; the pressure on children of all ages to fulfil their potential is incredibly intense. I am now taking calls from parents of children as young as seven and have successfully coached 10 and 11 year olds to pass entrance exams to top grammar schools and independent schools. Indeed, I have begun to do some coaching and tutoring over Skype to various parts of the country, such is the demand. To this end, I have decided to expand my tutoring team to cover a much wider range of subjects. Following the enormous success of my teaching methods, I have carefully chosen top performing graduates and students with expertise in their area and the emotional intelligence to be able to adapt to the personal needs of each pupil. Each tutor has been mentored by me and has worked alongside me. How tutoring builds confidence

Here’s a short note I received from a year 11 English student which illustrates how tutoring can build confidence: “Although I was very apprehensive of my first visit and what to expect, as soon as I walked through the door I felt welcomed into what is a comfortable and stress-free working environment. “From my first session I was given a huge confidence boost. She believes in me, which helped me to begin to excel in all my subjects. “As the year progressed I noticed the huge impact Sara had on all my work – comparing my current work to before I had lessons with Sara I noticed just how much I had improved. “Not only did my English improve but I gained valuable skills which I have used in all my exams. My exam technique vastly improved.” This student went on to secure 11 GCSEs.

The difference tutoring can make

Here is an extract from a letter I have recently received from the satisfied parent of a year 11 English student who writes of the benefits of tutoring: “We both met with Sara after my son, a shy student, had taken his GCSE exam in English during January 2013, and although the exact grade was not given it was looking like a borderline D. “After the first two or three sessions with Sara I noticed a complete change in my son. It was his attitude, his body language, there was laughter and he appeared to be even enjoying the sessions. “He achieved an A* in the essay written following Sara’s guidance, previously a C/D. Exams are looming…

The exams are looming and you might feel a bit overwhelmed with the work that you have to do. The pressure is on more than ever for top exam grades. Universities are looking more and more closely at GCSE grades and asking for top A Level grades. DON’T PANIC! IT’S DOABLE! YOU CAN DO IT! As well as careful tutoring on essay technique and how to study texts in depth, I can give you top tips on how to revise more efficiently. 45 minutes spent on useful intensive revision could be equivalent to many hours aimlessly poring over texts when you don’t know where to begin. I tutored a young A Level student in May 2012 who gained so much confidence in his ability, he improved his A Level in English Literature by two grades.
